"Lauren catered my wedding, and she was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and her staff was professional. She has a wide variety of ethnic and fusion food on her menu. When I was trying to plan my vegetarian event, she was the only caterer I interviewed who didn't try to convince me that I really needed to serve meat or nobody would come to my wedding. I highly recommend working with her!"

“We had a lot of fun working with the Nomadic Chef for our civil union celebration. Lauren's creative menu selections offered us a tremendous amount of choice and flexibility. The challenge was finding something on her menus we didn't like! Working with the Nomadic Chef was a seamless process of collaborative and respectful decision making.

We chose a Sunday Brunch menu to keep things casual, yet our buffet was the most elegant table setting I have ever seen. Each selection was displayed with beautiful flowers and garnishes on serving dishes which were very hip and stylish. The staff of the Nomadic Chef were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist our guests.

Six months after our reception our family and friends are STILL talking about the food -- especially the wild rice salad with dried cranberries, walnuts & caramelized leeks. Yum. Everything was amazing!"

“Lauren and her crew catered my outdoor wedding at my home in Ferrisburg in September 2005. It was phenomonal!   Lauren and I worked together to plan a "Vermont Garden Gourmet" menu utilizing local farms and organic produce.   Lauren was conscientious regarding costs yet able to keep with my vision of fresh, beautiful and deliciously flavored foods. The fun began with strawberry champagne cocktails for my guests as they sauntered back from the pond after the ceremony. As folks sipped their cocktails, sumptuous passed appetizer like dumplings with dipping sauces, skewered grilled shrimp and pineapple and Nepalese samosas were passed around our property.   For the buffet we ordered grilled wild salmon, a garden antipasti with heirloom tomatoes, spinach salad with dried apricots and a smoky vinaigrette, and roasted potato & fennel salad. Well, let me say, friends and family are still talking about the food and also thanking me for having such a lovely menu. The memory will last for us all.   Lauren's capability, planning and experience left me confident in the food aspect of the wedding plans, which one will find when planning a wedding greatly eases the mind to focus on all the other details.   She is terrific and highly recommended!”

“Whenever I wear the black apron colorfully autographed by a group of special friends, who all love preparing and eating interesting food, I remember the best birthday party ever! Lauren was our teacher and she shared techniques, shopping suggestions, presentation ideas, her delicious recipes, and most importantly, her love of food. We learned so much while sipping our wine, catching up with each other, and preparing the feast guided by Lauren. She had done the shopping and much of the prep work so it really was a party atmosphere. We took home extra treats and happy memories of a new experience with friends. AND...we continue to take classes with her.”
